2010 Niagara Association Open & Masters Championships.
 Johnny’s Runnin’ of the Green 5 Mile will host our 5 Mile Championships on Saturday, March 13th, which is the unofficial kick off to the running season for each New Year. The course runs from Radisson Hotel Rochester Riverside on Main Street to the University of Rochester Campus and back. Last year’s event saw 1,450 finishers. The event hands out open prize money awards for 1st place -$500, 2nd place - $250, and 3rd place -$100. 
USATF Niagara prize money awards: Open Men & Women = 1-$250, 2-$125, and 3-$50 with time performance bonus of $200
for Men under 24:30 & Women under 27:45 and Masters Men & Women = 1-$100
and $200 bonus for age graded over 89%. To be eligible Niagara Championship Awards must be a current 2010 USATF Niagara

Jeffrey Eggelston, pictured left of Greece won the 2009 event in 23:58 with Neal Holtschulte of Rochester in 2nd place with 24:12, and Dave Bradshaw of Macedon in 3rd in 24:41. Judy Johnston of Rochester took first place women’s honors in 27:46, Vanessa Martell of Penfield was 2nd in 28:49, and Jennie Donofrio of Rochester was 3rd in 29:01. Overall master’s winners were Earl Steinbecher of Willseyville in 26:44 and Jennifer Rea of Rush in 30:36.
