Finalists for the Annual Awards of the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame
Rochester, NY: The Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame of Fame proudly announces the finalists for our new annual awards program. Three finalists were selected for each of the eight awards. The finalists for each award are invited guests to our annual awards banquet to be held at the Holiday Inn – Buffalo Airport on Saturday, September 8, 2012, where the winners will be announced. Fans are invited to vote for these awards at http://www.niagaratrackhof.org/2012_hof_awards_fan_vote.php. The fan vote closes at on 17 August 2012.The inaugural set of eight awards to be presented in September 2012. Fan voting is open.

The eight annual awards are:
- Donald J. Paige Award: Presented annually by the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame to the outstanding NCAA Division 1 College Male Athlete of the Year in or from the Niagara Association.
- Doriane Lambelet Award: Presented annually by the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame to the outstanding NCAA Division 1 College Female Athlete of the Year in or from the Niagara Association.
- James D. Ulrich Award: Presented annually by the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame to the outstanding Male College Athlete of the Year from other than NCAA Division I Colleges in or from the Niagara Association.
- Jack Tupper Daniels Award: Presented annually by the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame to the outstanding Female College Athlete of the Year from other than NCAA Division I Colleges in or from the Niagara Association.
- Trenton J. Jackson Award: Presented annually by the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame to the outstanding Male High School Athlete of the Year in the Niagara Association.
- Cynthia J. Wyatt Award: Presented annually by the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame to the outstanding Female High School Athlete of the Year in the Niagara Association.
- Bob Ivory Award: Presented annually by the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame to the outstanding High School Coach of the Year in the Niagara Association.
- Charles H. Moore, Jr. Award: Presented annually by the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame to the outstanding Cross Country Running, Indoor Track and Field, or Outdoor Track and Field High School or College Team of the Year in the Niagara Association.

About the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame:
Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame is provisionally chartered by the Regents of the University of the State of New York. The purpose of the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame is to recognize those individuals who made significant and outstanding contributions to the Sport of Athletics (including Track & Field, Long Distance Running, Race Walking, and Cross Country Running) while living within the geographic boundaries (New York State West of and including the counties of Oswego, Onondaga, Cortland, and Broome) of the Niagara Association as athletes (including Masters), coaches, and/or administrators (including Competition Officials).

Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame Elects Class of 2012
Mark J. Finucane, Dr. Alan L. Jones, Stephen M. Machooka, and Susan L. Schaefer Morgan, elected to the Class of 2012
Rochester, NY: The Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame proudly announces their Class of 2012. The members of the Class of 2012 are Athletes: Mark J. Finucane (East Tennessee State University, St. Francis High School, Athol Springs, NY), Stephen M. Machooka (Cornell University, posthumous), Susan L. Schaefer Morgan (Eastern Kentucky University, Clarence High School, Clarence, NY), and Contributor Dr. Alan L. Jones (Endwell (Binghamton), NY).
The members of the Class of 2012 will be inducted into the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame along with the Class of 2011 at our annual awards banquet to be held at the Holiday Inn - Buffalo Airport on Saturday, September 8, 2012 (doors open at 5:00 PM). With the election of the Class of 2012, the number of members of the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame is 67, consisting of 57 men and 10 women. There are 53 athletes (43 male, 10 female), 10 coaches, and 3 contributors in the Hall.

Per action taken at the September, 2010 USATF Niagara Association Annual Meeting, the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame has become a separate New York State Not-For-Profit corporation. The USATF Niagara Association will be working cooperatively to ensure the success of the Hall of Fame and to coordinate activities in order to avoid conflicts between the programs of each organization. The Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame, its program and Corporation have the full support of the Niagara Association of USA Track & Field.
A new website for the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame will come online later this year or early next year. As soon as the new website is available, a link will be posted here. Please check back here regularly to see when the site goes live.
